Its been a long time world but i have started a new period in my life - The Quarter Life Crisis.
The worlds Fashion weeks are coming to a close all around us, but more importantly it is the start of my fashion year. A few weeks ago I embarked on a much awaited holiday. Packed up all my favourite clothes, my teeny-weeny bikinis including my ridiculously priced navy Heidi Klein number. Downloaded trash to read onto my kindle and even trashier programmes to watch on my i-pad. Two weeks of total relaxation trashing out doing my favourite things; sunning, drinking, eating, sleeping and dancing on tables.

Within hours however these dreams were
quite literally robbed from us. From the airport we drove into the city to
waste some time before being able to check into our airbnb villa. In true
holiday style our first port of call was to have a drink in the sun around a
pool in a fun bar for an hour. An hour of total bliss with two more weeks of it
to look forward to.
At the precise moment I leant back in the
plastic weave chair that’s never as comfy as it should be, saying calmly “na, I
don’t think I have travel insurance” was the moment our hire car was having its
rear window smashed in and every single one of our suitcases being re-housed to
some ballsy thief. Leaving the six of us with nothing but a
tom-tom (circa 2004), one denuim jacket and a pair of lace up boots all covered in shattered glass from our now ruined hire car. They
obviously weren’t in the business for lace up boots in 30 degrees heat and an out of date tom-tom.
So there we have it the first day of our
holiday now with just the clothes on our back and the contents of our pockets.
However we must all learn to rise above mis-fortune and create our own success. And so i will try!
From this moment forth i shall look to re-design my wardrobe, investing in quality not quantity and style not slouch. I working towards becoming an entrepreneur and develop my lifestyle brand.
