Couture eat your heart out!

i experienced a horrible moment of realisation sitting in a lecture today, as i thought to myself how i have wasted the last 3 years when i could have taken advantage of the technology that was available to me and become the next Coco Chanel or Vivienne Westwood creating couture sensations. As what i really wanted to do in my design project was explore the use of dysfunctional materials for fashion, looking at work by designers like Paco Rabanne, who use plastic, metal, paper and even chocolate as their medium.  Recently saw the conflict over Franc Fernandez’s  infamous meat dress worn by Lady GaGa, personally yeah bit gross but nice cut i suppose (no pun intended)!

Imagine wearing these next dresses to the ball!

Safety first!

Condom dresses by Brazilian artist Adriana Bertini, made of thousands of quality-control-rejected condoms. Shown at “Dress Up Against AIDS: Condom Couture,” an exhibition at UCLA’s Fowler Museum.

Skittles Taste the Rainbow

This pastry chef made his wife's wedding dress made out of 1,500 cream puff's and caramelised sugar, weighing only 20 pounds and taking 2 months to create.

I absolutely LOVE the dress made of old newspapers, not so much a fan of the washing bags.

Ideal if you get caught short!
Dress made entirely out of toilet roll.

Lets hope it doesn't get hot when wearing these designs created out of chocolate by the famous designer Paco Rabanne. I hate to admit it but these wouldn't last a minute with me.
As for these dresses made out of balloons you wouldn't want these to pop.

Fits like a glove!
